Equipment and Uniform

Athletes train and compete on World Para Powerlifting approved equipment.
The bench is longer and wider than a standard able-bodied bench to provide additional support and balance.
Athletes may also choose to use one or two bench straps based on their classification assessment to assist the stabilisation on the bench.
The bar the athletes lift is an identical 20 kg for women and men, both junior and senior athletes. All competition discs are rubberised and follow a consistent colour pattern. The colour pattern for discs is:

Athlete Uniform and Personal Equipment
An athlete’s uniform and personal equipment includes their lifting suit, t-shirt, wrist-wraps, belt and shoes.
The items must all follow specific material and measurement requirements different for each item.
