The World Para Powerlifting Coach Certification Pathway is the model for course delivery.

The Pathway has four (4) stages of development in which participants develop their skills and expertise within the courses and over time through experience. The structure and nature of each course builds upon its predecessor. The pathway overview describes the key differences between the courses.

The Coach Foundation Pathway is a no cost, self-study series of Courses and Continued Professional Development Mini-Courses, and is targeted towards people interested in becoming involved in the sport as a Coach at the local and national level.

Certificates are awarded in Courses and Mini-Courses featured (solely in recognition of the completion of the course on the Learning Hub). They do not confer any additional rights in relation to a status as a World Para Powerlifting Coach or any other position.

The Level 4 Course is the “foundation” stage of coaching and is targeted towards people interested in becoming involved in the sport as a Coach at the local and national level.

The Course focuses on introducing the roles, responsibilities and skills of the Coach with a focus on safety as well as the basics of the Technical Rules and Regulations.

The Level 4 Certification is not an Official Certification; the Certificate is awarded solely in recognition of the completion of the course on the Learning Hub. It does not confer any additional rights in relation to a status as a World Para Powerlifting Coach or any other position.

The Level 3 Certification Course is the “talent” stage of coaching and is targeted towards people interested in becoming involved in the sport as a Coach at the national and international level.

The Course focuses on growing a participant’s knowledge of the roles, responsibilities and skills of the Coach with a focus on training principles and supporting Athletes in training and at competitions.

The Coach will be able to plan, deliver and review basic sessions in a safe and competent manner, under the supervision of an experienced Coach.

The Level 3 Certification is not an Official Certification; the Certificate is awarded solely in recognition of the completion of the course on the Learning Hub. It does not confer any additional rights in relation to a status as a World Para Powerlifting Coach or any other position.
